This campground is located a few miles off the highway and is at the fairground. It is a big, mostly level gravel parking lot with electric hookups at the light poles and two sites with 30 amp power and a water hookup on the grass near the trees. There is a free dump station and two potable water spigots, but one of them is currently damaged. It is a great place to stop for a couple of nights and explore the town of Kearney with its many attractions. The roads are wide concrete in excellent condition, but there can be standing water after a heavy rain. There is no 30 or 50 AMP service, but you can use the 1-50 amp, 2 -30 amp, & 1-110 plug off the same panel. You pay on the honor system at the black box by the office door. It can be noisy here with some traffic and train noise, but it is far away from the highway and truck noise.

The Buffalo County Fairgrounds is a versatile event space that can accommodate a variety of events, including livestock shows, horse events, trade shows, festivals, sales, weddings, baby showers, and retirement parties. The fairgrounds hosts the annual Buffalo County Fair, which features live music performances and a variety of attractions. The fairgrounds also offers facilities for rent to host your own event.
