Pioneer Village Campground is a convenient stop for travelers on I-80, located just 13 miles off the highway. The campground has 9 full hook-up pull through sites with 30 and 50 amp power. There are two large open areas across the street for dogs to run and play. The main draw to the campground is Harold Warps Pioneer Village next door, an eclectic collection of Americana that is worth an overnight stay. The campground includes a ticket to the museum and an acceptable continental breakfast. The bathrooms are old, very cramped and borderline clean, and the roads and motel are rundown and dumpy. The nearby train station can be noisy, and there is a bit of highway noise from trucks. The campground is an acceptable and safe place to stay for a night or two, and the Pioneer Village is a wonderful place for adults and children.
