What others are saying
Maloney SRA is a great campground for a quick overnight stay while travelling cross country. The campground is located in a small to medium size reservoir lake in the country, far from busy roads. It offers spots on the water, trees for shade, electric only, and is dog friendly. The campground host was very friendly and welcoming and allowed guests to drive on the grass and camp anywhere that was not otherwise signposted. There is one central rest room with flush toilets and pay showers, as well as old playground equipment and pit toilets. The campground is very pretty and has some great hiking trails, but the campsites are so close to each other, it feels like a big RV park. The weather can get nasty, with the lake, open fields and few trees, the lightening can be pretty scary. The 30 amp service seemed to be OK, but it did go down in voltage one time that our management system cut it off. We had no problem getting satellite and we had good Verizon coverage for both voice and 4G data. There is a dump station at the entry to the primitive sites.
