Carney Park in ONeill, NE is a well-maintained city park with full electric pads, clean areas, and good water pressure. The park provides a quiet environment for a relaxing camping experience as it is located far enough from Hwy 281 that the traffic noise is minimal. A drop box for payment is provided, and the park has a dump station at the rear. The park is patrolled by the ONeill Police, ensuring a safe and peaceful stay. There is a paved walking trail just to the north of the park and a horse arena and ball diamonds within the area, providing ample opportunities for walking around and enjoying nature. The available facilities are limited during our stay, as the bathrooms and shower were not open yet. However, we did not inspect the bath house/bathrooms. There are two camping areas, one with signs indicating no horse trailers or horses in the area. Despite that, there were a few sites with horse manure, but our site was clean. Overall, we had a great stay, and we highly recommend Carney Park as a great stopover for a night or two.
