What others are saying
Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge in Alamo, NV offers beautiful campsites next to the lake, complete with tables and fire rings. The RV spots near the water are particularly fantastic. The area is home to a variety of wildlife and boasts a nice 3.1 mile loop around the lake for hiking or biking. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful, and the pit toilets are clean. However, some guests warn about the proximity to the highway, which can be noisy at times. Additionally, being close to the water can mean encountering bugs of all kinds, such as gnats, nozzles, and dragonflies. The visitor center is conveniently located nearby, offering plenty of information for visitors. Overall, despite some minor drawbacks, Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge is a picturesque and peaceful place for a camping trip.
