GenieSummary

What others are saying about this campground
Located in Alamo, NV, Picketts RV Park is a place to park for the night for those traveling through the area. The spacious park has both back-ins and pull-thrus that are easy to get in and out of, even for larger rigs. Some spots in the middle are flat and graveled, while the back-ins have more shade but may not be as flat. The spots are narrow and gravel, but overall the hookups are fine with power, water, and sewer. The park is located next to a gas station and grocery store and is within walking distance to both. While it can be noisy during the day and evening with semi-trucks coming and going, it quiets down during the night. The park has Wi-Fi available, but it may be slow, so having your own connection is recommended. Cable TV is also available, but some guests choose to stream instead. Prices are affordable, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, guiding guests to their sites upon arrival. Overall, Picketts RV Park in Alamo, NV is a good stopover for those passing through the area.

From The Campground

Picketts RV Park is a relaxing and peaceful stop with shade trees and a creek bordering the park. It is located in the heart of the Pahranagat Valley, an oasis amidst the surrounding Nevada desert. The small town of Alamo was named by Spanish settlers meaning poplar due to the abundance of poplar trees found in the valley. Lakes and marshlands provide a perfect environment for many species of birds, including ducks and geese for viewing in a wildlife preserve nearby. The pastoral setting of the valley is home to cattle and horse ranches and just 95 miles from Las Vegas on the Great Basin Highway 93. Nearby find fishing in Hiko, and explore the extraterrestrial Hwy to Rachael, Area 51 and geocaching.
