Baker Creek Campground in Great Basin National Park is a beautiful, secluded campground located down a 3 mile gravel/dirt road. It is one of the least visited National Parks in the United States, and offers an array of activities for campers. The campground features multiple sites for tents, picnic tables, fire pits, and a small river running through the campground. There is also a freshwater spigot and vault toilets for campers convenience. The campground is quiet at night, with just the chirping of crickets and the babbling of nearby Baker Creek. Wildlife such as wild turkeys and yellow bellied marmots can be seen around the campground. There is no cell service at the campground, but a few spots in the upper loop have service with a booster. The campground is open year round, with a fire ban in place during dry conditions. It is a first-come-first-serve campground, and costs $15 per night with no national park entrance fee.
From The Campground
Great Basin National Park offers six campgrounds, four of which are reservable via www.recreation.gov during peak season, roughly from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Outside of the reservation period all campgrounds operate as first-come-first-served campgrounds as seasons permit. Potable water is not available in most of the campgrounds.
