What others are saying about this campground
Mill Creek Recreation Area in Battle Mountain, NV is a remote campground that can accommodate smaller trailers and is easy for vans and trucks. While the park may not offer any spectacular views, it is a nice and clean spot to stop with two clean bathrooms and multiple trash cans. The campground also features fire rings, tables, and some sites have good tree shade. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with a stream running through it, supporting a grove of trees and many songbirds. However, visitors may encounter excessive amounts of cow and horse poop, making some sites severely unlevel and less desirable for some campers. Its also worth noting that the seasonal creek can be gone by certain times of the year. In addition, this park can be easily accessible by taking 305 south from Battle Mountain to avoid 15 unnecessary miles on a dirt road. Overall, Mill Creek Recreation Area is a decent, free option for those looking for a clean and quiet spot for a camping trip.

From The Campground
The Mill Creek Campground is a fantastic place to stop and have a picnic, talk a walk, listen to the creek or set up camp for a few days. Located roughly 30 miles south of Battle Mountain, Nevada, the Mill Creek Campground strikes a nice balance of being immersed in the outdoors but is close enough to town if you forgot something for the camping trip. The Mill Creek site was originally a CCC camp, Civilian Conservation Corps, which was a public work relief program developed to help with unemployed during the Great Depression. Today, roughly 30,000 people visit the Mill Creek Campground each year to enjoy the natural beauty and proximity to other incredible recreation activities available in northeastern Nevada.
