Sun Resorts RV Park is a convenient, modestly priced commercial campground located just outside of St. George, Utah, about an hour away, and 50 minutes from Valley of Fire State Park and the Overton Arm of Lake Mead. Pull-thru sites are available, with utilities, cable, and wifi, although the wifi is not reliable. The park has paved, easily navigable roads, and gravel lots, but no playground, pool, or hot tub. However, the local Rec center offers daily passes for $6 or $3 (senior) per day. There is a gated pathway that leads to a shopping plaza with a Smiths grocery store, Starbucks, Mexican restaurant, Jack in the Box, Subway, Dominos Pizza, and Veterans Memorial Park with a covered play area for kids, 3 baseball diamonds, and a well-kept cemetery. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and the park is very clean and quiet. There is a laundry facility and propane nearby, and the sites are level and wide, with trees between them for privacy. The 33 item Park Rules may be off-putting to some, and the curbing is a bit steep so take it slow. Overall, Sun Resorts is a great spot for an overnight stay or a few days while exploring the surrounding areas.
