We were lucky to get a spot. It was a great spot for us, with plenty of room for our tent and two cars. The sites are large, with fire rings and picnic tables. The views are stunning and the stars at night are amazing. The campground is quiet and we had no problems with noise or other campers. The only downside is that there is no cell service so you cant stay connected to the outside world.
From The Campground
Valley of Fire State Park is a stunning natural wonder located in southern Nevada. The park features bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone mountains, and is home to a variety of plant and animal life. Visitors can enjoy RV camping with power and water hookups, as well as group-use campsites that can accommodate up to 45 people. Picnicking and day use areas are available, as well as many intriguing hikes of varying length and terrain. The Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory and history of the park and the nearby region. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash of not more than six feet in length. The park is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.
