What others are saying
There are also several tent sites and a few group sites. Valley of Fire State Park is a stunning desert oasis just northeast of Las Vegas. It is a great spot for camping, with a variety of sites to choose from, including group sites, tent sites, and RV sites with hookups. The park is known for its incredible rock formations, including Elephant Rock, petroglyphs, and slot canyons, as well as its bighorn sheep. It is also a great spot for star-gazing due to its dark night skies. The park is open year-round, but the best times to visit are from October to April, when the temperatures are more comfortable. The campsites are well-equipped with amenities like water, fire pits, covered picnic tables, and grills. However, the campground can get quite crowded, so it is best to arrive early. There is also free camping available outside the park, about 30 minutes away. The park entrance fee is $10 and the campsite fee is $10-$20 depending on the type of site. Be aware that it can get very windy in the spring and summer months, so be prepared.
