It is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Valley of Fire State Park. Snow Bird Mesa is a great spot for those looking for a free, dry camping experience. Located just 7 minutes outside of the Valley of Fire State Park, this Bureau of Reclamation campground offers wide open mesa flats with spectacular desert views. There is no water, trash cans, or toilets, but cell service on Verizon and AT&T is excellent, and there are 25+ over the air channels in HD available for free. The area is harsh and rocky, with limited opportunities for biking and hiking, but it is relatively flat and easily accessible with 2 wheel drive. Dumping and fresh water are available at Eco Bay, 17 miles away. It is a great spot to stay while visiting the Valley of Fire State Park, and it is a peaceful and quiet place to explore.
