What others are saying
Scout Camp is a great campground located just south of Buckland Station, across the highway from the Fort Churchill complex. It is a primitive campground with plenty of space for RVs, tents, and equestrian facilities such as corrals and pens. The campground is surrounded by tall cottonwood trees and sage, and offers amenities such as picnic tables, fire pits, and pit toilets. The roads are narrow and dirt, so lower profile campers are recommended. Cell service is available at the visitors center, but not in the campground. The campground is well maintained and has great walking paths. It is a great spot for stargazing and wildlife watching. The campground is $20 a night and it is recommended to bring all items you need or be prepared to leave camp to go to the store.
