This RV park is situated on the Truckee River, directly across from the primary runway for the Reno-Tahoe Airport. Despite the noise from the aircraft coming in for a landing, the park offers a great location with easy access to shopping, restaurants and casinos. The sites are fairly close together, but provide enough space for a couple of lawn chairs. There is a paved walking path along the river, as well as a public day park that would be great for kids. The amenities are well above what one could wish, and the staff is professional and helpful. However, due to the heavy winter snow run-off, the river is fast, cold and a bit too rough for pets. Additionally, the park is located in an area with a lot of long term folks, and the pet areas are not very well maintained. The price reflects the weekly rate, and the park does not offer a Good Sam discount. Despite these drawbacks, this RV park is a great buy for a short stay.
