Washoe Lake State Park is a beautiful park located in Washoe Valley, Nevada. The park offers a variety of recreational activities including camping, picnicking, boating, equestrian facilities, hunting, fishing, and hiking. The park has two lakes that contain channel and bullhead catfish, wipers, white bass and Sacramento Perch. The park also has several trails for motorized and non-motorized uses. The American Discovery Trail, which covers 500 miles of Nevada's remarkable landscape, traversing 14 mountain ranges and challenging its explorers to a total climb of 34,000 feet, can be accessed from the park. The park has several amenities including comfort stations, picnic sites, barbecue grills, power, lighting, sink, counters, a sandy volleyball court and horseshoe pits. The park also offers wifi access and is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.
