Fransted Family Campground is situated in the heart of Franconia, making it a very convenient location. It has a peaceful and beautiful wooded setting, and some great tent and pop-up sites along a small river in the rear wooded area, along with a short hiking trail. Although the campsite cannot accommodate large Fifth wheels, Class A coaches, and RVs, it is an excellent place to park an RV or trailer. The park is a bit tight for 33-foot trailers, but one can still get in and find fairly level, gravel site. The park may have brownouts, as the EMS showed low voltages much of the time. Laundry facilities are available, but they may not meet your expectations. Fransted Family Campground is a smallish park, but the location is outstanding - there is a lot of beautiful hiking and sites nearby in the White Mountains.
