This campground is a great spot for a week or so in the Lakes Region. It is located near the Interstate, but not close enough to hear it, and offers easy access to mountains, lakes, outlet stores, and other attractions. The campground is well laid out, with gravel roads and sites cut into the forest for privacy. The sites are of good size, some with shade and some more open, and several in groupings so friends can camp close together. The pool is a bit far for older adults or small children if they are in the back of the campground. The owners are very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the campsite we stayed in was located in a wetland area with swamp weeds and mosquitoes, and the sewer connection was on an incline, making it difficult to empty the tanks. The lake is a bit of a walk, depending on the site, and across a busy road, which can be difficult with young ones. Motorcycles are allowed on the road, but the speed limit must be observed. All in all, this is a clean facility and a great spot to bring a trailer or tent, but if youre looking for a true camping experience, you may want to pick your site first.
