GBC Campground is a quiet, secluded campground located behind a Shell station, right on the Squamscott river. The campground has been upgraded with new picnic tables and multi-spray showers, but unfortunately there is no internet service. The pool is not open yet, but the views of the river are nice. However, during low tide, there is a smell of marsh. When taking a walk in the morning, visitors should be aware of the swarms of mosquitos. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the mosquito problem can make it difficult to sit outside. Firewood is available on-site, but it needs time to season and will barely light. The last available site is decent size, full hookup, level, and clean, with a little shade. The pool is a bit dirty and looks messy, and there is excessive barking of dogs from the seasonal campers.
