Northstar Campground was a great experience for a last minute Memorial Day weekend reservation. The spacious site with water and electric next to the Sugar River was great, as were the amenities such as the pavilion, playground and springfed swimming hole. The campground was small, quiet and immaculate, with roads that were tight but manageable. Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi or satellite radio/TV. Fishing was not allowed in the pond, but kids could still catch frogs and salamanders. There was a small store with basic items, and a dump station but no pool. Sites were fairly roomy and no one was waiting to break the rules. It is a great place for a quiet getaway and would be perfect for a family trip.
