Swanzey Lake Camping Area is a wooded park located near Keene, NH. It is perfect for tenters or hybrid campers looking for a weekend get away. The campground has lots of trees, providing plenty of shade, but it can be dark even in full sunlight. The nightly campsites are decently sized, with full hookups and stone fire pits. The campground also offers boat rentals and fishing, as well as a beach and boat ramp. The bathrooms with showers are at the camp store area, and are clean and well supplied with hot water. The campground is quiet and peaceful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the roads in the campground are narrow and twisty, making it difficult for big rigs to navigate. There is also lots of lawn furniture and other junk strewn around at many of the sites, giving the campground a rundown feel.
