GenieSummary
Laurel Pond is a campground located in a heavily wooded area with a secure gated entrance. It is decorated for many events, however there is nothing to do in the vicinity. The monthly rate is a bit steep, but the grounds are kept beautifully. Unfortunately, the office staff have terrible customer service skills and the owner has poor record keeping skills. The internet was inoperable the entire time we were there, the cable service provided has very limited stations, and AT&T signal was so weak that it could not be boosted. The wireless worked well, but the TV reception was very poor. The staff require a $500 deposit for two nights stay, as well as license and registration of cars and RV, proof of insurance, and copies of drivers licenses. The Health Department shut the campground down at one point due to the owner not paying the electric bill for three months. The owner also charges $350 for “leaving the cabin in horrible condition and destroying the TV” which is often a lie.
