Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, NJ is a clean and well-managed campground with a reasonable rate. The pool is very nice and maintained well. The campground is conveniently located with easy access to Philadelphia (about 25 minutes) and New York City (via AMTRAK 90 minutes). However, keep in mind that most sites of the campground have heavily wooded areas, which can cause difficulty in receiving a satellite signal. The park enforces a strict 5 mph speed limit, so you can expect a safe and peaceful environment. There might be some challenges when it comes to pulling into your respective site as most sites are straight in with no angle, so you just need a little patience. The facilities, except for the laundry, are well-kept with the room kept open to the weather. The machines seem to be poorly maintained and not clean, with bugs found in several. When it comes to using the machines, there are some signs that say the park doesnt own the machines, so they dont give refunds. As for entertainment, the park has mini-golf, a pool for swimming and fishing, with organized activities every Saturday for the kids. Its a wonderful place to take your grandchildren for a visit. Everyone, including guests, is friendly, and its definitely a best-kept secret.
