From The Campground

Monjeau Lookout is a historic landmark located on the Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest. The site was originally built in 1936 and reconstructed in 1940 as part of a Civilian Conservation Corps project. Visitors can learn about the history of the lookout and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding area. The road leading up to the site is dirt and can be steep in places, so it is recommended to visit during the summer months when the road is open.
