This RV park is located in Artesia, a refinery town, and is the best and priciest option in the area. It is well-maintained and fairly quiet, with no trash anywhere. It is full of oil patch workers who are very quiet and keep their sites clean. Amenities include cable TV, Wi-Fi (with a login), and electric ($.10 kwh). The monthly rate is $300. Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms or wifi, and units are parked close together. There is a smelly, noisy refinery nearby, and litter and dog waste can accumulate in the grounds. The bathrooms are sometimes left grimy and mildew is allowed to grow. The staff vacillates between rudeness and inappropriate friendliness. Trucks over 11 tons without engine retarders are prohibited on the 14 miles of 6% downhill grade to Cloudcroft and Alamogordo.
