Tico Time River Resort in Aztec, NM is a family-friendly RV park with many fun activities for all ages including two ponds stocked with paddleboards, surfboards, and sand; a water slide with plenty of flowing water; a sand volleyball court, trampoline, riverfront lounge chairs with built-in firepits, and an adult-only sunbathing deck. There are primitive to full hookup sites, all spacious and level with 20, 30, and 50 amp, and there are also tent and car camping sites. While weekends may be busy with many locals and lots going on, the week can be slow and quiet. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the food is good. It is a great base camp for the Durango area, but there is not much shade yet.
