Capulin RV Park is a private RV park located near the entrance to Capulin Volcano National Monument. The park has crushed limestone streets and sites, and some of the sites are shaded. The park is clean and quiet with a common fire ring and seating area that offers a view of the volcano. There is also a swing with a view of the volcano. The parks pull-thru campsites have 20/30/50A electric service, water, and sewer connections in the middle of the site. The parks WiFi is free and available to guests, and AT&Ts service works in the area, offering pretty good internet speeds on average. The town of Capulin is very small, and the options for restaurants are limited outside of Sierra Grande Restaurant in Des Moines. However, other fast food options and restaurants are available in nearby Raton and Clayton. Overall, Capulin RV Park is a comfortable, no-frills RV park offering a clean, safe resting place with good utilities and friendly owners. Its particularly well-suited as a stopover for a night or two for those traveling through the area.
