From The Campground

Ben Lilly Campground is a first-come/first-serve campground located in Gila National Forest. The campground has 5 developed sites, each equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, and vault toilet. There is no fee for this campground. The closest town with all amenities is Reserve. The campground at Snow Lake is the closest place to get potable water. There is no trash service, so you must pack out your garbage. Night temperatures may drop suddenly. Please be properly equipped. The campground is open from May to November and is an ideal area to escape the summer heat. Activities include camping, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. NM Game and Fish stocks Willow Creek with trout two to three times a year. Information on fishing licenses can be procured from NM Game & Fish. This area is home to many bird species and diverse wildlife, including elk, deer, and turkey.
