What others are saying about this campground
Rio Chama RV Park is a charming campground in Chama, NM. The park is situated next to a river with a forest of mature trees. The sites are a bit close together, but the trees make up for it. Theres river access from 7 am till dusk and a spacious dog park, which is the best of any the reviewers have encountered. The campground is within walking distance to the train station and quaint downtown, which has a charming coffee shop and grocery store. The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR line is a must-see in the area, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The park is well-maintained, although the bathroom trailer could use some updating. The TMobile service is a bit spotty, but its nice to disconnect and enjoy nature. Overall, Rio Chama RV Park is a pleasant and relaxing place to stay in the area.
