Clayton RV Park is a great spot for a quick overnight stay if youre traveling between Texas and Colorado. The pull-through sites are spacious and decently level, although you may need to use blocks to get it just right. The bathrooms are older but clean, and theres a fun playground with kids on the weekends. Theres also a dog run with pick up bags, but the bag holder was empty. The roads within the park are wide, but can be tricky to navigate due to flooding and the resulting water flow trenches. Theres no swimming pool and the playground could use some TLC, but the campground is centrally located and easy to find from the highway. Wi-Fi and electric work well, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the amenities are a bit lacking and the sites are dirt, so they may not be as level as youd like. The price of $33/night is a bit steep, but its a great spot for an overnight stay.

Clayton RV Park is located near the Clayton Lake State Park, a beautiful body of water with plenty of hiking and site seeing opportunities. There are also fossilized dinosaur footprints at the lake, making it popular among history buffs. Enjoy some excellent bird watching near the water, and be sure to stop by the museum for a glimpse into the history and cultural landscape of the area. You can also dine at the nearby restaurants and saloon for some authentic local eats. Amenities include tent camping, showers, restrooms, pull thrus, big rig access, playground, pet area, 30/50 amp sites, water, WIFI and sewerage. You'll certainly enjoy your stay, see you soon!
