Located in Cloudcroft, NM, Sleepy Grass Campground is a beautiful and picturesque place to camp. The area is surrounded by tall trees, a beautiful stream and a waterfall, adding to the serenity and peacefulness of the location. With no showers, campers can make us of the pit toilets which are well-maintained. There is plenty of space between campsites, and there are pull-thru and back-in sites available for small RVs. Although it can get busy on holiday weekends, due to the beautiful location it is worth keeping it in mind for a relaxing getaway. Cell signal is not great and the road to get to the campground is not paved, but it is still accessible. The campground offers no specific activities or events, but there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.

From The Campground

Sleepy Grass Campground is located just south of the Village of Cloudcroft in Lincoln National Forest. The campground offers a total of 15 units of which 2 are double and 3 are triple units leaving 10 single units. The site offers many sites for RV's, tents and campers. The campground has a 30' RV limit. The campground amenities include picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, and parking. The campground is open from May 12 to September 5 and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The fees for the campground are $26-$41 per night with an extra vehicle fee of $9 per night per vehicle. Showers are available at Silver CG for $5.50 per person per use. RV Dump Station is available at Silver CG for $5.50 per use. Water is available for $0.25 per gallon after 1st free 5 gallons. Trash is available for $2.50 per bag per day. Firewood is available for $8 per bag/bundle.
