Desert Vista RV Resort is a remote campground located near Columbus, NM, just after the infamous raid of Poncho Villa. It is a big open lot mainly used for overnight stays and has apartments in bad shape. The resort has a lounge with beautiful furniture, pool table, big screen TV, electric piano, organ, and more. There is a morning coffee gathering three days a week, but the conversation is often controlled by a group of nasty witches. The resort is close enough to run to Wal-Mart, Walgreens, AutoZone, or whatever, but far enough away to avoid the lights from police cruisers, trains, or traffic on I-10. Last two stays were during high winds and stormy weather, making it an ideal spot for a safe and peaceful stay.
