What others are saying about this campground
Campgrounds were well separated, well kept. Excellent stargazing available, as well as lots of hikes to pick from nearby. Apache Creek campground is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a paid national forest campsite of $5/night and is located about an hour to an hour and a half of off road driving away from civilization. The campground is very well kept and clean, with drinking water faucets located throughout the campsite and clean bathrooms. There are two sides of the campsite, one in the woods with tall pine trees to shade your tent and campsite and the other side is open with no trees, but it does overlook the lake. The area surrounding the campground is beautiful, with Snow Lake providing great fishing opportunities and the views from all over the surrounding Gila Wilderness being simply amazing. There are also lots of hikes to pick from nearby and excellent stargazing available.
