From The Campground

Gallinas Campground - Upper is a free, first-come, first-serve campground located in Gila National Forest. It provides easy access to New Mexico Hwy 152 and is nicely developed. The site is easily accessed by most vehicles, in most weather conditions. The parking lot and picnic sites are lined with gravel, making this the perfect choice for visitors wanting to experience the outdoors without sacrificing comfort. The upper portions of this watershed were severely burned during the Silver Fire in 2013. Although this area is healing, flooding could occur. Visitors can expect to hear traffic from the nearby highway.
