Railroad Canyon Campground is a small, primitive campground located in the Black Range Mountains of Gila National Forest. It is a popular portal for backcountry trips into the Aldo Leopold Wilderness. The campground has 3 tent sites available on a first come, first served basis. Amenities are few and the camping is lean, however, nature seekers will appreciate the myriad of trails accessible from this campground. Wildlife abounds in this area of the Black Range. Visitors have the chance to see deer, elk, black bear, and many different species of birds.
