What others are saying about this campground
Juniper Campground is a great place to stay while exploring the sights of Bandelier National Monument. It offers first come, first serve camping with three loops, most of which are suitable for small trailers or tents. There is a shuttle available from May through October from 9:00 to 3:00 to get around the park, and cell phone service is available. The campground offers a fire ring and picnic table at each site, as well as a dump station and potable water. There is also a new Visitor Center on route 4 in White Rocks with 16 slots with hookups for RVs in the parking lot. Be aware that if you take the road to Los Alamos in a motorhome or trailer you will be searched and have to open all the contents of your rig to show that you are not hiding Chinese spies. The campground is being closed June 1, 2010 through Fall 2010 for reconstruction, so plan accordingly.
