It is the perfect spot to stay to visit the Bosque Del Apache wild life refuge to view the Sandhill cranes. The campground offers no amenities other than a bath house, and no WIFI. The owner is great and takes precautions to shut off the park water overnight due to expected low temperatures. There are no trees, picnic tables, or fire pits, but there are 30 Gambels quail, 18 white crowned sparrows, and 2 towhees at the feeders in the morning. It should be noted that the owner, Billy, has this place for sale so things may or may not change in the future.
