This campground is a hidden gem located just outside of Santa Fe. It is small but clean and beautiful, with open sites perfect for tents and no hookups. There is one flush toilet per gender and a couple of pit toilets. The campground is situated right by the Pecos River, making it a great spot for fly fishing or spinner fishing. There is no cell service here, so it is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy a digital detox. The sound of the river is soothing and the neighbors are friendly. Hiking trails are several miles away, but there is a delightful little trail at St Johns college nearby. Unfortunately, the campground is currently closed due to bathroom-related issues, but it is worth checking back in the future.
