The sites are nicely spaced and have a covered picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are all paved and level, and the views of the lake are great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The park has a boat ramp and swim beach along with a small yet informative visitor center. There is good 50 amp service here and there is water but you will need about 75 feet of hose to reach it. Cochiti COE campground is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the Santa Fe and Albuquerque area. The campground offers large, paved sites with 50 amp electric hookups, covered picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. The Buffalo Grove Loop is the most popular, offering pull-through sites suitable for big rigs and stunning views of Cochiti Lake. The Juniper Loop has electric but the water spigots are not site-specific and can be up to 100 ft from a site. The park also has a boat ramp and swim beach along with a small yet informative visitor center. The park is conveniently located near Tent Rocks National Park, Bandelier National Monument, and Albuquerque Balloon Festival. The campground is kept clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the campground is about 30 minutes from Santa Fe and the town of Cochiti doesnt offer much. Additionally, the water spigots in the Juniper Loop are not site-specific and can be up to 100 ft from a site.

From The Campground

Cochiti Recreation Area offers camping, day use, and boat ramp facilities. The campground has four loops with a total of 94 campsites, including electric and non-electric sites. The day use area includes picnic shelters, playgrounds, and a swim beach (currently closed). The boat ramp has four loading/unloading lanes and a courtesy dock. Cochiti Lake is a NO-WAKE lake.
