Oasis State Park is a true oasis located just north of Portales, NM. The park is set among cottonwood trees, shifting sand dunes, and a small fishing lake. Although fishing is the park’s main draw, it also has several hiking trails, a peaceful and shady campground, and an abundance of birds. The campground has 7 developed sites with water, 6 sites with water and electric (30 amp), 3 sites with water, electric (30 amp), and sewer, 1 site with water, electric (50 amp), and sewer, 5 sites with water and electric (30 amp), 2 sites with water and electric (50 amp), and 1 handicap site with water and electric (50 amp). Restrooms with water, showers, and vault toilets are available. The park also has a group picnic shelter, playground, visitor center, and dump station.
