Apache RV Park is a great destination for travelers looking to explore the Gila National Forest. The campground is located right off of Route 12 at mile marker 16, and is a quiet place to stay for the night. The sites are level and have gravel and a pine tree at every location, and are wide enough to accommodate two trailers. The facilities are clean and spacious, with bathrooms, showers, a laundry facility, and a propane filling station. The campground wifi is reliable, but slow. There are also some longer-term campers, but the front sites closer to the road are available for short-term stays. The closest reliable spot for Verizon is six miles toward Reserve at the top of a hill. The current managers, Bruce and Joanie, are knowledgeable about the area and a great source of information for finding adventure.
