Glens Cove is a low-cost campground that offers a variety of activities such as fishing, power boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, and a quiet place to stay. The camp access road and all interior roads are well-maintained gravel. Showers and bathrooms are scattered around the park, and there is an honor system laundry on the hill near the entrance. The camp store is well-stocked with fishing gear and rental movies. The campground has 25 RV sites, 5 tent sites, and four waterfront cabins. Wi-Fi and rental motors and boats are available at the office. The owners live on-site, are very friendly, and go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great camping visit. The camping rate reflects Passport America discount, and seven days or more is $18. However, the sites are very crowded, and there is lots of dust due to the dirt sites. Additionally, there are millions of flies due to the close proximity of horses and their by-products. The swimming pool is indoor and seemed clean, but the dressing rooms for the swimming pool were fair. Visitors who prefer spacious sites and dislike dirt and flies may not enjoy camping at Glens Cove.

Parks and Bosque Trail is a riverine park located in Socorro County, New Mexico. The park offers a 4-mile long Bosque Trail for hiking and recreation. The Save Our Bosque Task Force is working to improve the condition of the trail by putting down gravel and installing trail markers and signs. The trail segment south of Otero Park is not currently maintained, but there are efforts to improve and extend this part of the trail in the future. The Save Our Bosque Task Force is a grassroots 501(c)(3) organization working to preserve the Rio Grande bosque for this and future generations. They develop recreation access points, improve facilities at the parks, designate areas for motor vehicle access, coordinate maintenance and management of existing facilities, facilitate waste removal and trash cleanups in the bosque, and develop educational outreach programs and host community events.
