. Each site has a fire ring and a BBQ grill. There are no showers but the lake is great for swimming. The campground is surrounded by tall trees and provides a great view of the lake. The campground is a great base to explore Gila National Forest and the nearby Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. The campground is off the grid and there is no cell phone service or WiFi. Upper End Campground is a popular campground located in the Lake Roberts Recreation Area within the Gila National Forest. The campground offers 12 developed sites for tent and RV camping, with two sites that can accommodate RVs up to 40-45' in length. The campground is open year-round and offers amenities such as picnic tables, vault toilets, and drinking water. The Lake Roberts Recreation Area offers great fishing opportunities for rainbow trout and catfish, and there are also hiking trails and opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
