. This campground is a great spot for a peaceful and quiet getaway. Located near I-25, it offers basic tent sites and full hookups for RVs, as well as a picnic table and fire ring for each site. There are flush toilets and hot water in the bathrooms, and numerous portable toilets around the pond and play area. The campground is handicapped accessible with a paved path to a small dock. The lake is perfect for fishing (no swimming or boating) and has a good sized and shaped shoreline. There is also a group shelter, trees, and a playground. The campground is clean and level with gravel, and free firewood is provided. Cell coverage is good. It is also conveniently located near the town of Socorro. The only downside is that the campground is close to a busy road with ATVs and trucks running constantly, and the occasional train.
