The campground is in a beautiful canyon with a stream running through it and there is a nice hiking trail nearby. Sierra Village is a small RV park close to Taos, with sites nestled in a virgin forest and alongside a stream. The tent camping sites are small and separated by stick fencing. The park offers a natural setting with rock cliffs and trees, and a creek running through it. The operators are friendly, but the facilities are run-down and in need of upgrading, with tree branches hanging low. Cellular signal and WiFi is limited, and the owner is a cantankerous old man. Some of the facilities are outdated, and cash or check is the only payment accepted. Despite the disrepair, its a nice spot, with trees, a hiking trail and proximity to Taos. The park is only open from May to October, and guests should watch out for the brown recluse spiders.
