From The Campground

New Canyon Campground is a Forest Service campground located in the Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands. The campground is closed temporarily due to the closure of National Forest System Road (NFSR) 245 and the Capilla Peak and New Canyon campgrounds in the Mountainair Ranger District. The campground is open from April to November and offers light usage. There is no water available at the campground, but there is a vault toilet. The campground offers camping and picnicking opportunities.
