Keewaydin is a great campground located in the Alexandria Bay Area along the St. Lawrence River. It offers 35 campsites with no hookups or electric, but with semi-private campsites, fire rings, picnic tables, and a playground for the kids. The Olympic-sized swimming pool is a great way to cool off in the summertime heat. There are lots of recreational activities in the area including boating, kayaking, white water rafting, and wine tasting. The views of Canada across the river are breathtaking, but the park is quite open and lacks shade and trees. This is a great place for families with young children, but may not be the best choice for those looking for a more secluded camping experience.

From The Campground
Keewaydin State Park is located on the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands Region of New York. The park offers excellent boating, fishing, and during the winter, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. The sheltered marina provides dock space for seasonal and transient visitors. Overlooking the river are 48 campsites. The park's terrain includes steep, rocky outcroppings between the campsites and the shoreline, providing vantage points for watching the ocean-going vessels traversing the river. The park also has a swimming pool and picnic areas.
