The park's large open lawns encourage games and picnics; a playground and another picnic ground, this one forested, are nearby. In winter, cross-country skiing is permitted in the park. The park has one pavilion that can accommodate up to 48 people. Jacques Cartier State Park is open year-round, sunrise to sunset.
