Wildwood is a beautiful campground located on the Long Island north shore. The campsites are large, clean, and mostly level, with full hookups. The beach is beautiful and has lifeguards on duty, as well as restrooms, first aid, and a concession building. The park also has access to hiking trails and biking lanes, and is close to wineries, an aquarium, and Tanger Outlets. The RV area has wide open, semi-level pull-through sites with easily accessible hookups, and the tent area is large. Unfortunately, some people have loud music and TVs playing outside, but the park police patrol often and stay at the front gate at night. There is no WiFi, but there is a steep hill down to the beach with stunning sunsets. Fire rings can be rented, and reservations are suggested.

Wildwood State Park is a cooperative hunting area that allows archery deer hunting from November 1st through January 31st. The park prohibits trapping, target shooting, and the use of rifles or pistols. Permits are required and must be shown to any official requesting to see them. The park also hosts various events throughout the year, including live music and magic shows. Amenities include campsites, cabins, fishing, hiking, playgrounds, showers, snowshoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and a swimming beach. Hunting is not allowed within 50 feet of a marked hiking trail.
