Located in Chateaugay, NY, the High Falls Park Campground offers a beautiful wooded camping experience. The campsites are spacious and have lovely firepits made of stones. While some trees could have been trimmed better, the walk to the falls is a nice, albeit steep, hike in the woods. Even in August, the falls, which can be seen through the trees, are quite impressive. The long-term sites are well maintained and have their own area. The campgrounds gravel roads and dirt and grass sites, while basic, are quite level. One of the downsides is that some of the low-hanging tree branches can be an issue for higher vehicles, and the firepits on some sites are located too close to neighboring sites. Additionally, there is no Wi-Fi or cable TV, which helps to give this campground its rustic feel. Payment is by cash or check only, and the owners are welcoming and helpful. All in all, High Falls Park Campground is a great place to stay if youre looking for a relaxing camping experience in a beautiful natural setting.

High Falls Park Campground is a hidden treasure in New York. The campground offers over 200 beautiful seasonal campsites and overnight camping options with 30/50 amp full hookups, picnic tables, and fire-pits. The cabins are equipped with 2 twin beds, small refrigerator, and table. The campground is located in walking distance to the bathrooms. The highlight of the campground is the 120' waterfalls.
