Birch Haven is a small campground located in a rural area. It offers full hook-ups for a decent price of $40/night + tax, but the park models are run down and not well-maintained. There is a rental cottage on the water with a great view, but it is unknown what the inside looks like. The campground is not great for dog walking, but there is a nearby Zenda Preserve which is a nice hike around a farm field. The area has cute shops, restaurants, and museums and the downtown parks are great places to watch the sunset. The Wood Boat Brewery brews great beer and has really good food. Passport America is accepted Mon-Thu for a full rate of $30. Most of the sites are seasonal, with larger mobile homes and park models permanently situated. The park managers are hardworking and constantly making improvements.
